Snowdonia Mountain Highlights
Date - 22/08/2020 - 24/08/2020
Destination: Snowdonia National Park
Description: Snowdonia National Park has a number of incredible mountain ranges in a relatively small area. Over the three days we might ascend the ‘Welsh Matterhorn’, Cnicht, or try an easy scramble called Daear Ddu on Moel Siabod, possibly scramble up to the Glyders and come down Devils Kitchen or go up Snowdon.
We can make no guarantee about this precise itinerary as we consider factors such as safety, fitness, natural obstacles and weather conditions. With this is mind, we reserve the right to change the plans should the forecast be unfavourable for the day.
Suitability: We aim to be inclusive and encourage a willingness to explore, we also welcome all ages and abilities where possible. This is suitable for people with some hill-walking experience including experience walking in rough, untracked terrain and off footpaths. A good head for heights and some experience of scrambling or being comfortable on exposed rock is desirable. This could be in the UK or overseas. You should be physically and mentally fit enough to be able to spend up to 8+ hours walking in the mountains.
Travel: We encourage sustainable travel and car sharing where possible. Snowdonia has easy links by bus, train or car. We can provide some guidance about getting there but more information can be found here: https://www.visitsnowdonia.info/getting-here-and-travelling-around
Accommodation: You should be based in the area so consider accommodation in the following locations; Betws-y-Coed, Capel Curig, Llanberis, Beddgelert or Bethesda.
Kit List: A comprehensive kit list will be provided after booking and again prior to the trip. Should you have any questions about the kit then please feel free to contact us.
